Family in GU4 with 3 children – 13 (special needs, non-verbal), 15, 10 years old requires a nanny for shared and sole charge, with or without Special Needs experience. Primarily care for the 13 year old who is mobile, but has severe cognitive delay due to a chromosome disorder. He needs help with getting dressed, toiletting, bathing, stimulating and meal times, but also entertaining him at home and out and about. He can walk but he finds it tiring so needs a buggy or wheelchair when out. The other two girls are generally looked after by mum, but there are times where they may swap. Light nanny household duties included in job.
You must love special needs and/or have experience with children. Warm, kind and patient and happy to sit quietly. However, you must also have energy to take him swimming, to the swings etc. A get up and go and muck in attitude. This position can be offered as a regular weekly/monthly salary of £400-450 net, as desired by the candidate. Role includes flexible hours before and after school term time (roughly 7-9:30am and 3-7:30pm) and more full time in the school holidays (e.g. 8-6 pm), though some days topping and tailing other respite care. More hours for extra pay, such as babysitting and weekend work, can also be offered. Family has a dog and a cat. Dogwalking help as part of the above hours, desirable but not essential. Free parking for nanny.
