The Process

When searching for a Nanny it is easy to feel swamped with information, there are so many things to think about and it can be extremely time consuming, this is where Brilliant Nannies comes in.

CHOOSING YOUR CHILDCARE PROFESSIONAL

Brilliant Nannies has a stringent process carefully designed to select the most suitable candidate for the job. Once you have registered with us, simply by filling in the short form online, we will contact you to find out more details. We have an in depth form that can be filled in online, over the phone, by post or at your home, whichever suits you. We hope to find out exactly the type of Nanny you need to suit your child’s personality and we tailor our services to suit each family specifically.
Next we handpick a shortlist of the most suitable Nannies from our database to present to you. We include the Candidate’s CV, photo, agency feedback, references and any other relevant documentation.
 After you have seen these we arrange 1-2-1 interviews between you and your favourite Candidates. We then discuss your feedback and arrange second interviews if required.
 Once you have decided on a suitable Candidate or couple of Candidates we can then arrange a trial, typically a half day (paid) for those Nannies to ensure that you are happy with your choice. This process will continue until you find a suitable candidate and you are ready to offer the position. We want you to find the best Candidate for you and will never hurry you into a decision.

OUR SELECTION CRITERIA

We follow a strict “Code of practice” when selecting Nannies for our database.
Once a Nanny has registered with us we carefully check references, qualifications and other legal requirements (e.g work permits). We hold face-to-face interviews with every single Brilliant Nanny candidate and we ask them to supply us with the following:

  • Work permit or Visa if relevant
  • 2 forms of identification (passport, driving license or birth certificate)
  • Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement)
  • Minimum of 2 employers’ references,
  • Further employers’ contact details, allowing us to gather further verbal reference direct from the referee
 (if possible)
  • DBS check
  • First Aid Certificate or be willing to get one
  • Original copies of all qualifications and certificates, if held.
  • Up to date CV.

Some of the Nannies we hold on our database are Ofsted registered and hold their own nanny liability insurance . We will inform you if this is not the case.
Only once our Nannies have satisfied these criteria do we add them to our books. We have an in depth questionnaire that they complete in order to produce a strong character profile which helps us find the best Brilliant Nanny for your job.
